For this, we draw inspiration from the 'Cool Biz' campaign, a pioneering initiative undertaken by the Japanese to popularize informal dressing in countrywide offices, so that air-conditioning thermostats could be set at 28 degrees to cut down energy consumption. 'Rooftop greening' is another scheme to control the 'heat islands phenomenon' or the shrinkage of green space and the growth of artificial ground cover.
